    I have had the same problem with my BASE TV, i purchased a DIGITECH AR-1727 remote which has an Auto Scan function. It took me a while to find the right code but came up with '173'. Not sure if it is the same for all remotes but try and see!!!!

      Try going to the manufacturer's website for a copy of the manual for some answers. Can't help you any further without make and model of television not being known.
