      Take it to a transmission shop (you'll need to have it towed I'm sure. This is when having AAA auto club comes in handy) and have the issue diagnosed for free. It sounds like your transmission needs to be rebuilt.

        Check fluids, and get a transmission service to change the fluid, I had a Honda which turned around with this.  Must be other symptoms?  All of a sudden, it would not go into gear, with no warnings, very unusual.
