In some communities there are community action groups or organizations that offer free classes to prospective home buyers. It is definitely a good thing to consider, as it is a huge jump in regards to responsibility regarding maintaining things. Many people assume they want to own something, but often forget that it comes with its certain degree of demands and responsibility beyond renting or leasing...and it can also be expensive to contend with. You need to be able to financially afford these things beyond simply making the initial purchase of the property.
