    I have many many many old e-mails that I haven’t deleted - Maybe 1,000? Is that ok?

    Does it slow my lap top? I sure don’t want them - they’re spam.

      Start deleting.Your computer has probably already compacted them but sooner or later they will slow your computer down & you will run out of memory.

          Yes. it slows  your computer and gums it up - - - - b/c it fills up the memory. So, you have to empty some of it to make room for more in the memory.
