Psoriasis is a chronic skin condition. It can occur at any age or sex and is generally red skin covered by a scaly flaky broken skin. This can often be very itchy and the temptation is to scrath but this does not help and can cause bleeding and infections like impetigo. It cause is often stress, dry skin, poor diet or simply bad luck. Although there is no certain cure it can be managed and can leave as quickly as it arrived. It generally affects first the scalp and/or the skin around joint particularly knees and elbows, but can affect anywhere. There are many creams and potions which will alleviate the problem often coal tar based. Bets solution would be to see your doctor and get some creams prescribed. Chinese medicine can be effective but may hace side effects. Keep the skin moist, use dead sea salts, bathe it regularly and it may become controllable.
