Umbriel had his chances. Too many as a matter of fact. The admin decided to remove him due to the constant complaints about his posts. He thought he was too good to listen to them.
Digger, when you actually meet a person who eats spaghetti gravy, just dump the gravy over their head and have done with it.

Umbriel is not American, nor are the owners of akaQA. They reserve the right to decide what gets placed on their forum. Umbriel was given almost a years worth of chances to clean up his act. He chose not to. This is a question and answer help forum, not the Umbriel porn show or how to kill yourself show.

I find it absolutely unbelievable that you would try to defend him and the garbage he continually posted, Nom. He was told a million times not to post in such a manner, as it contravened the sites policies and in his arrogance he chose to ignore any and all such warnings. The admin have every right to set policies in this regard, so we can enjoy the benefits of a FREE site.

Nom, the ownership issue is secretive. I've emailed them several weeks ago asking them that very question. No response.Emailed again...no response. Rather curious,don't you find?

It certainly is their choice to repond or to ignore. However, I don't know of any legitimate buisness that chooses to a) intentionally ignore a question from one of its customers and b) chooses to keep the ownership identity private.

It's not like I asked for the owner's tel#, address or personal bank account information.

You know what they say. You get what you pay for. No one knows that better than owners. I know that if I owned an internet site that required moderation and regular "cleanup", I'd pay someone to do it.I don't know of a single business that can run on free,total auto-pilot. Can you ?

To anyone who believes that Umbriel was a great guy, who is missed...you only got to read what wasn't deleted by moderators or owners. Even that, was objected to, by many of the members, who subsequently complained. You should not be defending someone about whom you have only SOME of the facts. He is not a nice man and if you "knew more" you would "defend less". In fact, you would be very embarrassed "to defend"!
