This is all I was able to find on your problem:
If you've got a circuit tester it may well be worth making sure power is getting to the DVD monitor plus check if the other cable (for transmitting the picture) is all in place?
Is it all factory fitted equipment? ie dashboard stereo/DVD etc & DVD monitor? Reason is because it's possible that whoever owned the car before you put the monitor in with a different head unit & not the factory unit put in from new? Would explain why there's no picture because it has been purposely disconnected?
