Select favourites.
In the drop down menu select Organise Favourites
In the window that opens Click on the Favourites Bar folder
You can now delete the Items from the Favourites Bar folder
Or select it then carry it to any folder of your choice.
Either deleting or moving the item will remove it from the favourites bar
