This item was on the radio this morning. The guy won a roach-eating contest and won an $850 python. But he became ill, called 911, and was dead before reaching the hospital.
It's possible he was allergic to the roaches.
Any thoughts about the things people are challenged to do to be a winner nowadays?
Where do YOU draw the line, competitively?

I once wanted to do a "Cool Hand Luke" and eat 50 hard boiled eggs for "brains trust" charity, the charities management wouldn't allow me to do it "just in case".
I know myself I could still do it, even 20yrs later.
I love boiled eggs, and I think I could counteract the side affects.

I have never been able to understand the mentality of someone who would want to sponsor a contest for eating roaches or worms. It makes me wonder what the reward is for someone to want to watch someone else purposely devour insects. Personally speaking, I would find observing someone chewing on a mouthful of insects as fairly disgusting.
