I've been gardening for 3 years & have had some success....but this year I have many lovely small pumpkins and lots of powdery mildew. Should I harvest them all before they are all ripe or should I try cleaning the infected leaves with soda water & let them ripen?

The powdery mildew always happens. No problem, the pumpkins will ripen up fine, and the leaves are on their way out this time of year anyway
