Why is it so difficult to get work in your chosen career in your local area. I am a language teacher and am 52. I am not a failure, more like somewhere in the middle. Is it that employers take the best of the best or the cheapest of the cheapest and young ones. I have experience though. I would like to understand how interviews think.
I am 52 with experience., I am not a failure but am somewhere in the middle. Do interviewers look for the best of the best or the cheapest of the cheapest with the intention of moulding people?
Once you work on supply and are out of full-time employment are you out for good. I don't want to relocate just for my job as I have family and friends in the area.

This is just an opinion, as I know nothing about you or the area in which you live. I believe, when there are more available employees than there are available positions, hiring the most suitable candidate, would mean hiring "the best of the best". Why would an employer do otherwise?
