What is the red light for on a Yamaha G-2 golf cart

I have a Yamaha G-2 golf cart and there is a little red light on the dash,...what is it for and why does it stay on?

Could be a low oil warning. Check the oil level.

Oil if full....and has plenty of gas....

I was thinking, it could just be a power light letting you know the key is in the on position.

reconnect battery charger .battery, could be low

Checked the water level in the battery....was a little low, and fill everything back up....but it is still on....fixing to try to trace the wires back to see what it actually belongs to......
