    What is the red light for on a Yamaha G-2 golf cart

    I have a Yamaha G-2 golf cart and there is a little red light on the dash,...what is it for and why does it stay on?

      Could be a low oil warning. Check the oil level.

        Oil if full....and has plenty of gas....

        That's all I could find. There is not much information on the internet about golf carts. I've found the owner's manual but it says nothing about lights on the dash. Here is the link for the owner's manual http://www.yamahagolfcar.com/partsandservice/assets/pdf/om_0000000168_J8JC5.pdf

        I was thinking, it could just be a power light letting you know the key is in the on position.

        reconnect battery charger .battery, could be low

          Checked the water level in the battery....was a little low, and fill everything back up....but it is still on....fixing to try to trace the wires back to see what it actually belongs to......

              Yep....lol, I though of that also...but it is on when the key is in and when it is out...and when it is running....

                Might have something to do with the battery too. Check the water level in the battery.
