Without a doubt, Border Collie!  However, they are not for everyone...  They are extremely intelligent, athletic, and become bored easily.  They need work, or at least challenge, both physically and mentally!  Some owners are not smart enough to own them (no offense) but you must think like a dog and insure that their needs are met.  This is not a couch potato dog, that you can go to work and then throw it in the yard to poop when you get home!  They will destroy your house while you are at work, they are very active, and like I said need a job.  They are grouped as herding dogs for a reason, after all!
