      Post something that many people will like. You need a large friend base in order to get likes. Unless your account is public, only the people in your friends list will see your posts.

        say something about an organization that helps kids. Then a  LOT of people will click on LIKE. Better yet, say you're helping out an org that helps kids with reading , or feeds kids.
