    have brought a ipad2 that is jailbroken, i cannot open contacts, it shows a open book for 5 secs, then goes back to the screen setting, same with facetime

      No, it may have been done wrong or may have been affected for mthe website you used. I think you should reboot it because that is the only way to "Un-Jailbrake" and i(Pod/ Phone/ Pad).
