    Should a suicidal patient be able to refuse a feeding tube?

      In the USA, it is against the law to kill oneself, so no, people do not have the right here to refuse a feeding tube just so they can starve themselves to death.

        I wonder how the suicidal person got to be in need of a feeding tube. ?  Some terminal people who would like to be done with it should be allowed to not have a tube. Very few people have died from not eating on purpose.   I'm not including anorexic folks.  Is this a survey or a real life situation?

          No, Whatever it takes plus intensive therapy. They can find another way to kill themselves w/o the aid of others...............
