    -5x-4<7x-20+6-8 


    add 5x to each side....-4<12x-20+6-8      -20+6-8=-22       so -4<12x-22


    add 22 to each side..... 18<12x


    divide each side by 12...  1.5<x   0r turned round, x>1.5


     

    -5x-4<7x-20+6-8=
