The meaning of Christopher is "bearing Christ".
People should not name their kids Christopher.

why
Because is like a trap. They expect the child to be a follower of Christ. What if the child grows up and decides Christianity is not for him? He will have to suffer the guilt of disappointing his overly religious parents. Besides, why should only the Christophers be the bearers of Christ?
