In 1978 a prop master decided that a Seiko 6105 would adorn the wrist of Martin Sheen in his role as Captain Willard in Apocalypse Now. It's clear they had done their homework because it's historically link accurate that a U.S. Army officer working for the shadowy MACV-SOG unit would wear a Seiko 6105. The 6105 became widely known as the "Captain Willard" in collecting link circles and online forums and the SPB153 because of its stark resemblance to the 6105 became link known as "the new Willard."
