    how do youknow a semi truck engine year

    Is there a marking on a freightliner or Kenwort heavy duty truck  engine that shows year. I wanted to buy a2007 semi truck and I asked whats the engine year , they said 2006. I wanted a 2007 engine.

      The year would be in the VIN number. You just have to know how to read a VIN or you can try this VIN decoder > http://www.vindecipher.com/gates/
