    how can I get rid of these toolbars

    Try here >http://www.removeadware.com.au/articles/remove-toolbars/

    Go to Control Panel. Select the Set Default programs option. When given option to change or turn OFF toolbar, select it.   If its AOL, you may have to un install AOL, period.
