When was the last time you checked your transmission fluid? It something is sounding loud though, it most likely is too late. You also have to figure it is 7-8 years old, and sometimes things just go bad for whatever reason. It the loud sound persists after checking the transmission fluid level, you need to take it to a garage and have it checked out. You should do that as soon as possible, so as to avoid damaging something that might be repairable instead of replacing whole transmission.
