    Get it to a vet asap!

    what type of birds are we talking about, and are there more than one in cage?  If so, isolate the damaged/sick one from other.  you say vent eating, do you mean this one is eating at its own vent, or is another picking on it?  If so isolate it.  As for sleeping all the time, that is not good, maybe about to expire!
