The relevance of it would insure that If you are eligible to receive services from an approved provider under this Act, those services must meet Australian Government standards. As a care recipient, you have the right:

to receive good quality care and services

to be treated with respect and courtesy

to have your lifestyle and cultural and personal beliefs respected

to be informed and consulted about your care

    to privacy and confidentiality

to access your personal information held by the provider

to be provided with a written plan of the services you will receive

to have another person of your choice support you and advocate on your behalf

    to have your comments valued

to make a complaint if you are unhappy with the services your receive, and

to continue to receive care and services from the provider while they are still necessary and appropriate to meet your needs.
