YOUR WIFE IS ABUSIVE!  Contrary to popular belief, abuse happens both ways.   Men are abusive to women and women are abusive to men.  If a man says he is being abused, almost always, people (especially men) respond in a humorous way.  They think that a man cannot be hurt by a woman, so he must be joking.  You have hit the nail on the head, in expressing your feelings....it doesn't hurt physically....it does hurt emotionally.  You need to talk to someone who will REALLY listen to what you are saying, without making a joke about it...counsellor, family doctor, pastor, police officer, shelter (for men or women), trusted friend, boss, co-worker.  You will find that you are not the only man who is being abused at home.  Keep talking about it, until someone listens and refers you somewhere for help.  This will not stop....it will escalate.  Love should not hurt!

Does she have mental health issues?  If the tides were turned, you would have been called in and had a visit from P.D. and "domestic abuse" charges.  Explain to her that this should not be tolerated for either of you to put hands on the other, unless they are loving hands! 

100% TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR ON THE PART OF YOUR WIFE.  IT WILL LEAD TO WORST BEHAVIOR ON THE PART OF YOUR WIFE.  get help, therapist, minister, counselor NOW.  Not funny, not pretty, not cute, as she probably thinks it is.  Not acceptable.  Stop accepting it.  You will both be  happier and so will your kids if you have any.

She won't change without help.

Consider your options very carefully.

The best and possibly the only method of breaking her habit would be by giving her a taste of her own medicine. Of course, that would also likely put you behind bars.

Look her straight in the eyes and tell her," This is the LAST time you pull this stunt on me" (Say it with conviction and start by looking up a divorce lawyer in the yellow pages)

Your wife has a problem and you should not condone it. Hitting someone is an assault. She has anger issues that need to be addressed. You need to move out and tell her that you will not tolerate being hit under any circumstance. If she truly loves you, she'll get help. But she needs to admit that she does have a problem.

It sounds like she is very Defensive.

People whoare just that are Narcissistic.

They have this thing where they are always on the look out for anyone that they think is

going to accuse them of anything/everything.

They do talk out their frustrations , anger, so on on their victims.

even the 1's that are (trying) close to them.

If you are thinking about sending her to seek help!

Think again!

Narcissistic people will refuse any kind/type of help.

And if they do!

They will give it to the doc. with both barrels!!

Research has found that 3/4 of the population are men who are Narcissistic.

While the other 25% are women.
