    I have watermelons growing and something nipped off the ends and now they seemed to have stopped growing can I save them?

    If there is enough of the vine left where they got nipped off, put the vine end in water. Keep the watermelon out of the sun. Watermelons ripen in the dark of night and need to be shaded during the day. It may not grow more but it might ripen.

    yes, depending upon where you live, the season may be long enough for it to heal the vine, and ripen the melon. probably a deer, too bad that people are opposed to hunting! Or maybe a woodchuck, again, nobody wants any trapping to go on, or to kill them in any way...

    I'm one of those people. We took over their lands and destroyed most of their food sources. I do not mind sharing with all of God's creatures. If Dick was that concerned over his garden, he could have fenced it in. Animals have a right to live too. A compassionate Soul, one who loves God and all that God created believes this.
