it is because sun light hav3e seven colours namely violet/indgo/ blue/ green / yellow / orange.Red violet, has the least wave length ,and red has the highest .When light rays enter the atmosphere, it scatters ,by hitting on particles present there. Having less wave length colours like violet, indgo,and blue scatter .Thats why sky appears "blue. GREEN GRASS.The presence of chlorophyll makes grass green .All other light rays are absorbed by leaves and reflect only gree light .
