Yes.

Australia converted to the metric system some years ago amid much confusion.

We are now totally comfortable with it.Once you stop thinking in the old way by converting everything back to feet & inches etc it really is a much easier system.

I am a carpenter & the conversion had a vast impact on me.

Over several years many of my tools had to be replaced not to mention the way I went about my job & the way in which I bought materials.

Being an old American I like our way because I know it! Metric is confusing to me. Tools are really getting confusing with all the metric measurements- trying to fix something that is American made with a metric wrench doesn't work or fit!

Do you think that conversions in the metric system are easier to make than conversions in the US system of measurements?
