I think there is a big problem if you are asking a bunch of strangers across the world about whether you should marry or not!

    Why?

No, you will have nothing in common

with someone who is only half your age.

and she'll be planning your funeral pretty soon.

Only if you're 120 years old.

So a 60 year would be fine?

I figure that at 120, he's likely senile and blind. Can't be TOO fastidious, eh?

    Diggy, LOL ;-)

Let's see...You're 10, she's 5, so you're twice her age. In 10 years, you'll be 20, she'll be 15. You'll be only 1.33 X her age. Wow, she's catching up! Marry her when your ages are the same!

    Hahahahahahaha!

Well where are you from? Do you have to transport your wedded one? Have you met yet? Is there a fee involved? Is the person of legal age? Questions for you to consider!!

NO !  because one of the best ways to have a happy marriage is to marry someone with a similar family background to yours, and someone with whom you have a lot in common. This person in question might marry you just to get a green card, or to live permanently in the U.S. But, you won't have much staying power to your marriage. She'll look on you as a dad, and vice versa.

    You lucky dog you.

    Dardaigh

Not so lucky for the poor bride. :(

I can't see what you would have in common, if not now certainly later on the ,  I really doubt that such a huge age difference would work for anyone

lambshank, people the same age and around same age get married, does not mean it will work out, depends on two people.

Whatever works for you I guess.

    Dardaigh

No...no...no...think of the poor woman!!! (I'm surmising) LOL

    Dardaigh...my thoughts exactyly. lol

This sounds like an arranged marriage. Are your relatives arranging this and is there dowry involved? If it is a traditional arranged marriage and assuming that you are the male partner, all the advantages are on your side except that if you do not love your wife, both you and she will be unhappy and no amount of money will change that.

If in doubt, don't do it.

If you got lot of moony than after married she get a divorce and say good bye too you investment, oh what it moony!! and that the way the world turn!!

Well that depends how old you are but even if you tell us that would be a problem if you are forty and she/he is 20. But even with all this advice people have been giving you, you should follow your heart and do what you think is right. :) good luck!
