    how can i found out if i was a victim of identity theif

    my family had our lincoln town car stolen from us and unfortunately my driver's lincense was in there and all of our clothing. i have had letter's sent to me stating that i had surcharges, and warranties for things that i didnt do and never recieved a ticket for any of it.  all the dates that are present on the letter's are all around the timing that my id was stolen from me.

      Only your license? Did they take any credit cards? If you are concerned they used your license to open lines of credit with, you can have a free credit report done here > http://www.freecreditreport.com/

        What do you think the thief used for the payments you were charged with? If you know, cancel that option for payment, and issue a new one for your use.
