    I am planning to build a free standing stone wall and a cement patio beside it -- Do I build the wall first or do I pour the patio first?

    I will be building a pergola on the patio with the stone wall on one side, and the wall tapered down on both sides coming out about two feet.

      I vote for the wall first.  Any imperfections can be smoothed over later on on the floor.
