    Fruit.

    That's been debated for years. And the general concensus is that it is a vegetable, b/c for one thing, it doesn't grow on trees.

    I think it's a fruit, it grown on a vine.

    We were always taught as kids that it was a vegetable...but as MCM says...it is debated..although..now we are told/led to believe it`s a fruit!!...:-0

    Actually  it is a  part of  a BLT
