About Child Support
A man brought a child into the world and he hasnt wanted a thing to do with it. He has a court date coming about child support. This man drinks too much and is on drugs. Is there any way this man would get any rights to the child? If he skipped the date what would happen?
1 Answer
He can still go for parental rights (meaning he has a say in the child's health and welfare) and possibly visitation but if you can prove his drinking problem and his drug addiction, then visitations should be supervised ones. This also all depends on the state you live in. Each state has their own set of laws and standards. Check with child services. They may be able to advise you better than I can.
