Have you tried the process of re-pairing them?

I do not have the manuals - so I have no idea where to start

try 0000 or 9999 as the codes.

The transmitter nor the headphones have a way to show or put in codes they just have flashing blue lights

You should be able to turn on the transmitter and then press and hold the power button the receiver. I'm just guessing as I do not know these devices.

the power button on the headphones is actually a slide switch - the only other buttons are volume up & down and a call

What device do you have the transmitter hooked to? It's the device that needs the code. I checked, the code is 0000

I have hooked to my Zune but I also had it hooked to my laptop - worked all the way around until I was near a friend that had her Plantonics bluetooth headset on - it caused problems with hers and mine - hers won't power on at all now
