    TO CHCKDSK, IS THE FOLLOWING THE CORRECT COMMAND? chkdsk /f<"C:\Documents and Settings\owner\Desktop\dove\story_file2.exe">

    assuming, of course, that the location is correct. Also, if the file has been put on the desktop to make it easier to work with, what would be the command line to access the desktop please?

    We are general questions here. We do not have computer programmers. I doubt anyone will understand this. Sorry. 


    You should be able to go into your programs then accessories then system tools and find chckdsk there.
