      I was charged with something several years ago, never entered a plea, and the charges were dismissed.  The arrest still shows on a background check and the only way I can have them eradicated is by paying A LOT of money to a lawyer who has to prove the accusations were false to begin with....just being dismissed doesn't make them go away.
