      Rugby may mean various things. Usually rugby is used as the name of a sport game in which two teams of 15 players each play against one another on a large field that has goal lines and posts on each end of it. The goal of each team is to pass the opponent's goal line while holding an oval ball, or to kick that ball through the opponent's goal posts. Time outs and forward passing are not permitted.
