Gerard Butler may have reportedly dated his Bounty Hunter co-star Jennifer Aniston, but he has revealed that he is now single.

The Scots actor donned a kilt imprinted with Ellen DeGeneres’ face as he appeared on the cheeky comedienne’s US talk show today.

Asked by DeGeneres whether he is currently single, a smiling Butler, 40, simply replied, “Yes”.

The American Idol host then cheekily enquired if he ever went commando under his kilt, and Butler smirked, “Yeah”.

DeGeneres also gave The Ugly Truth star some blue World Domination underpants as a gift to wear with the kilt.
