1. if it's one specific area I treat the area with Dawn dish detergent, the regular old blue stuff. I allow it too sit until I'm ready to wash.
2. If it's all over my clothes washing in hot water and Tide or Gain seems to do the trick.
3. Use LIQUID fabric softener NOT dryer sheets. The liquid fabric softener really helps with getting rid of the odor.
4. Line dry, if possible.
You may have to wash more than once in order to get all of the odor out. With the wool if I remember correctly you can't wash it in hot water, you may have to wash it a couple of times. The smell WILL COME OUT.
