I know someone who knows someone who climbed this. I don’t see how. The oxygen would get so low.

    Here's hoping you can :)

I'm more enthralled by the blue waters and white beaches on all those smaller islands. If I was able, I'd rent a small boat and land on each one of them, beach the boat and take a swim. Get back in the boat and head to the next island. There is just something euphoric about swimming in absolute crystal clean ocean water where I can see aquatic life right under my feet. Did it a lot in the Caribbean, but never that far into the south Pacific. Some day. :)

there are far to many beautiful places to choose from, and here in Oz we have more than most :-)

we just need to make sure they stay beautiful!

Different things for different people, for some it is the amazing places posted above, for others places of historical beauty, for a lot of farmers a newly planted field of crops or the macadamia plantations here on the Northern rivers overlooking Byron Bay, I think our Sydney harbour is beautiful, but don't consider to be well travelled enough to make a judgement,Fiji and Tonga are magnificent as are some places in Tasmania, but I've never seen Niagara falls or the Grand Canyon or for that matter dozens of places on my "bucket" list

beauty is in the ete of thye beholder, and i have beheld a lot of places today on this site. so many more out there. who can choose!!

I can only dream about visiting some of these places but right now, home is where the beauty it....

I was fortunate to travel to over 32 countries starting when I was 16. My sister being a flight attendant gave me the opportunity to fly for practically nothing during the 70's and I took advantage of it. Then when I turned 18 I joined the Navy and saw another big chunk of the globe. I'll tell you one thing, the USA has such a good standard of living that most people who never left the states can't appreciate. God, I can tell you some stories.
    jhharlan

I'm envious (not jealous) of your opportunity. It's nice to know something good about my states...

I have not travelled to a lot of places. However many of the places I have gone to surprise me because of their beauty.  There are some sorry looking places, but for the most part the world is a beautiful place to see and be.

In the united states it would have to be the redwood forest !

    Bob/PKB

    Richardson's Grove? BEAUTIFUL

Well in the usa has to be the red wood forest!

Humbolt County? We’ve been there. We almost moved to Fort Bragg (Maybe should have) My favorite place is Crescent City -- or it was a long time ago. BobPKB/How did I get here where we both live? Ugh!
    Bob/PKB

One big wrong turn somewhere! It crosses my mind to this day, "What might have been".

It should be our minds but we are a long ways away from that.

Thanks people for the beautiful pics :)

    Bob/PKB

    :D Where do you like?
