What is the name of the book where a school board director falls in love with the ugly teacher he hired?
I have been looking for a book that I used to read when I was younger. It took place in the plains of America. A town hires the ugliest teacher they can find because all of their previous teachers ended up getting married and moving away. However, during a blizzard, this teacher named Miss _____, gets stuck with the school board director and they end up falling in love. This is a chapter book that was around in the 70s.
