Only hours after the Last Supper, Judas would betray Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane, setting the stage for Christ's Crucifixion on Good Friday.

It's the Christian religion that recognizes Holy Thurs. The catholics call it Holy Thurs, and the protestants call it Maundy Thurs. It means the same thing.
