    I don't know what else to say, other than the prognosis doesn't sound good.

      Doesn't the red light indicate it is in the standby mode? Have you tried the power button on the set instead of the remote? Sometimes remotes with weak batteries will do that.

        Yep I have tried both. When you try to turn it on you can hear it click then the red light flash's but nothing happens
