    Sshhhhh!!!!

Conservation is an ethic of resource use, allocation, and protection. Its primary focus is upon maintaining the health of the natural world: its, fisheries, habitats, and biological diversity. Secondary focus is on materials conservation and energy conservation, which are seen as important to protect the natural world. Those who follow the conservation ethic and, especially, those who advocate or work toward conservation goals are termed conservationists http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conservation_(ethic)

I was a book binder and conservation regarding books was not to change the original to keep it as original as possible, it was unethical to change colours and end papers ect because this would take from the original.

It was always better to give something back scruffy looking still rather than replacing the original product and de-valuing the book..

Doing the right thing is ethics, and conservation is to preserve our resources.  So I agree with the ideas expressed, especially about education and being responsible stewards of the land and its resources.
