First connect the VCR to the Directv input, then connect the Dircetv to your TV. If you have routine cords it's easy. If you have HDMI, connect Directv via HDMI cable to TV.
Look for these words............"input" and "output"...............It means plug in from main source which is the Directv antennae to VCR, then continue to output to input to output finally to TV input. Make sure your Directv is tuned to either channel 3 or 4 and turn TV to same. If using HDMI connection, open channel to HDMI on your TV's screen.
