According to 'ASK' the town of Kyle (pop: 970) in South Dakota is the farthest from any coastline at approx: 1024 miles.

If you can Google and find your own answer, why not do that to start with? Have you not noticed all the unanswered questions we have? Those people do not know how to find their own answer.

Now, can you verify that ASK is correct?

Sorry about that ,it was to answer a question that came up at dinner the other night, my wife (who is a 'native New Yorker') had no idea so I e-mailed my brother-in-law who lives just outside San Diego and he found the answer on ASK after asking his work colleagues who gave a myriad of answers, non of which were right. Just thought other readers might like to know the answer.

I've found out since that this is a trivia question. Had you said it was a trivia question, I would have Googled to the actual answer.

Have you ever seen a map of the U.S.? I assume by coastline you mean ocean. I'd guess a town in northern part of N. Dakota. Do you need a map of N. Dakota and it's towns?

Have you ever looked on how many small towns that are in North Dakota with one 2-to-4 people? If you ever wanted to live in a very small town that is the place to go and now I found out it is farthest from the coastline too. Interesting learn something new everyday.
