That light illuminates to indicate that the vehicle emission control system is no longer operating within its design parameters.
You need to take your vehicle to a dealer to have the fault analyzed and corrected. The fault is properly still covered by your emission warranty. The problem could be as simple as a fouled spark plug or plug wire
