Contact any institution whose information you forwarded to these people and explain the situation. Unfortunately, it may already be too late.

They are a scam company. Why would any one, whom you do not know, send you $24,000? I bet they are asking you to send them money in order to send you money. I bet they ask for your bank details. SCAM ALERT!! Do not say you were not warned.
