In Cricket there are two they are like a referee,they make sure the game is played fairly. They ware white coats, one stands behind the wicket one end and the other stand at right angles to the other wicket about ten paces away I beleive. and when some one is bowled out the one behind the wicket sticks one finger up in the air. Its a strange custom isn';t it? but that's cricket.

My sentiments the same..

Someone who stands in the middle of a field with a whistle and they blow it when you do something wrong , generally they are at sporting events. Sometimes many marriages need umpires.

They often make sure the rules are followed but some cheat ..

Instead of following a team , go for the umpire , they rarely lose :))
