    There are four major cities in upstate NY, being Albany, Syracuse, Rochester, and Buffalo. I would suggest you pick the one in the area you wish to get treatment, and google their hospitals.

    These four cities are the "major" cities in upstate NY, and each has some of the best hospitals in the country. Granted, there are other smaller cities with good hospitals but these 4 are evenly situated across the state. Upstate NY is generally considered any place north of the "plane" formed by the northern border of Pennsylvania (extended to the Connecticut border).
